JPL Wastebasket Challenge
One Pager project to present a roof rack product. We had to create a simulation in Fusion 360 to meet a set of constraints and present the results professionally like a real business.
This year's JPL Invention challenge is a unique challenge that requires us to think outside the box and create creative solutions. The challenge is to use a series of consecutive activities to eventually move a piece of paper 15 inches and drop it into a waste basket without anything touching the waste basket. Each activity that we have has to move at least 15 inches in either vertical or horizontal motion. The last activity will be a piece of paper that we can manipulate moving into the wastebasket. The wastebasket is 5 meters away from a starting position and the fastest time to get the paper into the basket wins.
We had to design a 3D Puzzle comprised of many pieces and 3D print the puzzle and do a physics and cost analysis of the print.
